These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and IamLadi s.r.o. (“selfunderstand,” “we,” “us”) governing your access to and use of the selfunderstand website, application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
selfunderstand provides an AI-assisted, conversational self-assessment focused on work signals (capabilities, interests, motivations, needs, and states) and a longitudinal reflection assistant. The Service is intended for personal, non-clinical use as a tool for self-reflection and career exploration. It is not a medical, psychiatric, psychological, vocational counseling, legal, financial, or employment decision-making service. Outputs are probabilistic, may be inaccurate, and must not be relied upon as the sole basis for any consequential decision.
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) and able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service. The Service is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact ladi@iamladi.com and we will delete it.
Accounts are created via Google Sign-In through our identity provider, Clerk, Inc. You are responsible for safeguarding the Google account used to access the Service and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us at ladi@iamladi.com promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.
“User Content” means any input you provide to the Service, including assessment responses, transcripts, goals, notes, and any other text you submit. You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant selfunderstand a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display your User Content solely to operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service for you and to perform statistical analysis on aggregated, de-identified data. We do not sell User Content and do not use the contents of your transcripts to train third-party foundation models.
The Service uses large language models supplied by third-party providers via OpenRouter, Inc. to generate questions, summaries, and reflections (“AI Outputs”). AI Outputs are generated probabilistically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or misleading. You are solely responsible for evaluating AI Outputs before acting on them. To the extent you have any rights in AI Outputs generated for your account, we assign them to you on a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual basis subject to your compliance with these Terms.

The Service, including its software, taxonomy, rubrics, scoring methodology, user interface, copy, and branding, is owned by selfunderstand or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms, no rights are granted to you by implication, estoppel, or otherwise.
The Service is currently offered free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid tiers, usage limits, or subscription plans at any time, with notice to existing users before any charge is incurred. Any paid plan will be governed by additional terms presented at the point of purchase.
Our collection and use of personal data are described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. You acknowledge that personal data you provide is processed and stored in the United States, as further described in the Privacy Policy and in the consent you grant before using the assessment.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account and data at any time from Settings → Data. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, with or without notice, if (a) you breach these Terms, (b) we are required to do so by law, (c) providing the Service to you becomes commercially or technically impracticable, or (d) we discontinue the Service. Sections 4 (your license grant for residual data), 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 survive termination.
THE SERVICE AND ALL AI OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR QUIET ENJOYMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL SELFUNDERSTAND, ITS AFFILIATES, OR ITS LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) EUR 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless selfunderstand and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your User Content, (b) your use of the Service, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any third-party right.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is the competent courts of the Czech Republic, and the parties consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts. If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area, nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or via an in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, your sole remedy is to stop using the Service and delete your account.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any consents you have granted, constitute the entire agreement between you and selfunderstand regarding the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
